What are subgroups?
Unless your company is just a handful of people, it's likely it consists of different subgroups. For example, a subgroup of Developers, of Sales, of Marketing, and so on. Because people in a subgroup often need access to the same material, and sometimes don't need (or are allowed to) view pages of other subgroups, it's also possible to divide the entire team into different subgroups in Papyrs. When setting permissions to a page, this feature can be used to quickly set permissions of people based on the subgroup they belong to (see Permissions).Creating and removing subgroups
To create a new subgroup, go to Settings > People, and click Create or remove a subgroup (only administrators are allowed to set up subgroups)
New options to add and remove a subgroup appear. To add a subgroup, fill in the name of the new subgroup in the box on the right and click Add subgroup. To remove a subgroup, click on the little remove link next to the name of the subgroup. The people in the subgroup that you removed are then moved back to the Default Subgroup.
Organizing subgroups
To re-arrange people in subgroups, go to Settings > People, and click Reorganize subgroups (only administrators are allowed to reorganize subgroups)
The rows of names in the team now become draggable. To move a user to a different subgroup, simply drag the person's name and drop it in another subgroup. When you are done, click Save. Note: the order of people inside a subgroup does not matter, and is not saved.
